The movie has smashed all time box office records with all time biggest opening in U.S and U.K. The Berlinale paid premiere sold for a thousand Euro each.
The movie certainly touches life's of everyone and the dialogues create an impact that is inevitable. The music is beautiful and had become an instant hit right from the day it hit music channels.. Infact, the songs are so beautifully composed that they fantastically sink in with the flow of the movie and you love the songs even more.

"My Name is Karan and I'm trully humbled"
The box office history seems to have been re-written by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Fox Star (India) with their new release - My Name is Khan which smashed all previous box office records.
The film has managed to become highest-ever single opening day collection for a Hindi movie worldwide in many of the markets all over the world. The movie has also managed to bargain a fair share of world's media attention. The Guardian says," a likeable and slickly-constructed Bollywood tale of understanding and tolerance." The Hollywood Reporter says MNIK is "well worth the 162 minutes journey". And LA Times describes the SRK-Kajol movie as "a sweeping epic-potent, engaging and timely entertainment.
Globally, MNIK as reported has broken almost every record there is for Bollywood. The International opening day collection of MNIK is said to be 30 per cent higher than its closest competitor. Shah Rukh Khan who is the King of Bollywood in UK, his movie that previewed on February 11, came fourth in the market, so MNIK broke the single day preview figure held by another Karan Johar flick "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" (2006).
“We are delighted with the performance and the audience reactions across demographics,’’ says Vijay Singh of Fox Star Studios. “More so, because this is just one phase of the release. Besides the 45 countries where MNIK is already playing, it will be rolled out in a phased manner across 25 non-traditional markets from April onwards.’’

Gauri Khan watches MNIK and urges everybody to watch the movie
On Friday, Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri went out to watch the movie "My Name is Khan" at a local theater. Gauri Khan who is also the co-producer of the movie "My Name is Khan" urged people to watch the movie.
Addressing the media she said that Shah Rukh Khan was really sad after all the controversy following the movie but now he is very happy that the movie has been released in Mumbai and all over India has come to watch his film.. She also said "It is a beautiful film and everybody should watch it. At times like these, peace is the most important thing.

After more than a decade an Indian movie to be released in Egypt
"My name is Khan" will be the first Indian film to be released in Egypt after 15 years of long gap.
Indian movies have been very popular ever since 1950s in Egypt until the great success of Eygptian comic flics starting from 1995.
Zaid al- Kurdi, a manager of one of the distribution companies in Egypt said that Indian film have all the masala and and they are produced generously so the end result has to be marvelous.
The popularity of the Indian movies grew so much that in 1980s a law was stipulated by the Egyptian legislators declaring a law saying that for every Indian movie shown an Egyptian movie will be produced and also that no Indian movie will be shown for more than 5 weeks.
Karan says "My Name is Khan" is the perfect title
Karan Johar says that he was just listening to his gut feeling while deciding upon the title of the movie. He further adds that "My Name is Khan" was and is the perfect title for the movie and that he has no plans to change it.
‘My Name is Khan’ is the triumphant story of an unconventional hero overcoming obstacles to regain the love of his life. He confides that as a director if he can express his through cinematic narration then that's best way of communication.
"My Name is Khan" Nepal distributor expects high viewership for the movie
"My Name is Khan" will be screened in four multiplexes in Kathmandu and in a dozens of small theaters around the city, when it releases on 12th February worldwide. Nakim Uddin, the distributer of My Name is Khan in Nepal says that the film is meant for the upper class of the society and so will do good in the metropolis. He owns Jai Nepal and Kumari, the best multiplexes in Kathmandu. He feels the good review of the movie by Bollywood Hungama will push the sale of the tickets high.
Pokhara, Birtamod, Damak, Biratnagar, Dharan, Raj Biraj, Birgunj, Narayanghat, Butwal and Nepalgunj are cities where MNIK will be screened other than Kathmandu. Some of these towns are close to Indian border which have large number of expatriates and Indian visitors.

Kajol reveals MNIK is a romantic movie
A lot of buzz is happening as to what is the real plot of the movie "My Name is Khan". Recently, Kajol revealed that MNIK is a romantic movie. The story mainly revolves around Shah Rukh Khan who is suffering from Aspergers Syndrome. It is a story about how a man proves loves to his girl and how far he would go to win his love back. Kajol adds that she would call it a romantic movie and it surely has 9/11 angle but it is just a small part of the movie.

"My Name is Khan" will be screened among high-profile premieres at Berlin Fest
"My Name is Khan" will be screened among the high-profile screenings at the upcoming Berlin-Fest which runs from 11-21 February 2010. Among the high-profile screenings will be Martin Scorsese's psychological thriller "Shutter Island" starring Ben Kingsley and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Planned are a Press screening, the premiere and three repeat screenings for "My Name is Khan". The film will be shown in Hindi with English and German sub-titles.
The premiere takes places in the Berlinale Palast at 22:30 on 12th February. The repeat screenings is at 15:30 on Saturday, February in the Friedrichstadtpalast. Second screening at 20:30 on Saturday, February 13 in Urania. The third repeat will be shown at 22:00 on February 21 in the Berlinale Palast. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to attend the Berlinale Palast at about 22:00 on February 22nd where he will also hold a press conference, which can only be accessed by Journalists accredited by the Berlinale.
However, the film will be coming to the Berlin cinemas only on 6th May, 2010.

Two phased release of MNIK globally: Karan Johar
Karan says My Name is Khan will have two phased release instead of simultaneous release worldwide. The movie will be releasing in a planned manner over a period of time globally. The movie first will be released on 12th February in UK, US, Gulf, Australia, India, etc. Months of April and May will see theatrical release, which will be the second phase of release in countries like Germany, Poland and other parts of North America.

Kajol reveals that her role in MNIK is imperfect
Kajol says her role as Mandira is imperfect, little crazy, slightly mad and these were the reason's for her to sign "My Name is Khan". Karan says, Kajol has a tendency of falling and tripping on the sets of movie and it has been a lucky charm for them and the movies have gone to become super hits and blockbusters. Kajol fell from the cycle while acting for a scene in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and then the movie was a blockbuster. Similar thing happened on the sets of Kabhi Khushi Khabhi Gham and the movie was a huge hit. When not a single mishap happened with her on the sets of My Name is Khan this became a cause of worry untill she had a very bad fall on the last day of shooting and the crew took a seigh of relief and started celebrating her fall.
